Northland View

This mid-century modern home located North of Leavenworth is in a spectacular location with spectacular views. One hundred and eighty-degree views of the Wenatchee River valley, the Enchantments, and the North Cascades. It doesn’t get much better than that, as far as we’re concerned. Just coming out to work here is a joy.

We gave this property the full Vintage Valley treatment. With the grassy field below, and the orchard sloping up to the wild mountain behind, we set about blending this home into its hillside perch just enough to make it belong there. We provided an arcing lawn with metal boundary edging, basalt retentions and rockeries, and fully-automated irrigation—the works.

We were really pleased with how the basalt wall on the outside of the driveway turned out. The curve is very compelling to the eye. Out beyond the lawn, multi-trunk birch stands add visual appeal and the anticipation of much needed future shade. A single red maple right of the entry adds an exclamation point to the approach.

Overall, we are very pleased with how this install turned out and look forward to seeing the plantings fill out and mature over time. Watching our properties mature is a real treasure, and we design our installs with that maturity in mind.
